MAT-TRIAD 2005 – three days full of matrices

First Announcement

The workshop will be held on 3-5 March 2005 at Będlewo (about 30 km from Poznań). Będlewo is the Mathematical Research and Conference Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences - the setting is similar to Oberwolfach, with accommodation on site (for further info about this place please visit

The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers sharing an interest in a variety of aspects of matrix analysis and its applications and offer them a possibility to discuss current developments in these subjects. The format of this meeting will involve plenary talks and sessions with contributed talks. We are also planning a special session with talks by graduate students.


Organizing committee:

Workshop schedule:

The Workshop is planned to open on Thursday, March 3, in the morning, and close on Saturday, March 5, in the evening.

The participants are expected to arrive at Będlewo on Wednesday, March 2, in the afternoon. Departure from Będlewo is planned on Sunday, March 6, in the morning.

The participants are invited to submit abstracts of talks (about 30 min.) to Proposals of problems to discuss in afternoon sessions are also welcome. The deadline for abstract submission is the end of January 2005. Abstracts will be published in a workshop abstract booklet.

The participants are kindly requested to let us know the exact date and time of their arrival if they want to be picked up from the Poznań airport or railway station by a Będlewo mini-bus. The distance between Będlewo and Poznań is about 30 km. You can also reach Będlewo from Poznań by taxi. The estimated cost is 120 Polish zlotys (1 Euro is about 4 Polish zloty).
